When it comes to sound, especially where your music is involved, you can't be too careful to make sure it gets done right - on stage and in the studio. That's why we use reliable equipment capable of accurately capturing your sound with top of the line quality. Not only do we use excellent equipment and a wide selection of microphones from various manufactures, but our trained audio production staff is comprised entirely of trained musicians. We know what it's like to put your music out there for the world to hear, and how difficult it can be to get the right sound. With us, recording is a relationship. You don't just walk into the studio, record, and leave. First, we get to know you and your music. We don't even touch the equipment until we know what sound we're trying to get. That's not to say that ideas don't evolve over the course of a project - some of the best ideas come after working for some time on a recording - but when we begin, we make sure we have a clear focus. After we know what we're going for, we start what is traditionally thought of as the "recording process". This, too, is a different experience with MainSpring Media. We pride ourselves on the meticulous placement of microphones from our outstanding collection. Good sound begins at the source, so we pay special attention to getting everything perfect - often, we'll even use two sets of microphones to record one source, then later choose the one that sounds best.
MainSpring Media's commitment to excellence doesn't stop with the recording. During mixdown, we have at least two independent mixing engineers involved in the process. If you or any members of your musical group would like to be involved in the mixdown process, you are more than welcome.
